Don Unfried is known as "Mr. Smooth." His beautiful, smooth baritone voice and sweet spirit comes through as he communicates to audiences where ever he sings. Don is a sixth grade teacher. Jerry, Don, their older brother Wes, Jr., and their father, Wes, Sr., formed a quartet and sang together as the boys were growing up. So, you see, it really does run in the family. |

Jim Reed is the manager and sings bass in the quartet. His vocal arrangements with close harmony and blend makes RSV unique among gospel quartets. Jim just finished his 39th and final year as a public school teacher and his award winning Junior High Band has been one of the top rated bands in California. He is now an adjunct professor for Point Loma Nazarene University at the Bakersfield Campus. Being raised in Arkansas, Jim's father, Carl, sang bass with several quartets during the '40s and '50s. Gospel quartet music has been a part of Jim's life and Revised Standard Version continues this family tradition in California and on the West Coast. |
